Oreoluwa Agbenla: Nigerian midfielder, 18, joins AIK U19 from Remo Stars Reserves

Nigeria youth midfielder Oreoluwa Agbenla has joined AIK U19 from Remo Stars Reserves, completing a move that takes him from West Africa to one of Scandinavia’s leading academies. The 18-year-old has signed a deal with the Swedish club’s under-19 side running until 31 December 2030.

Agbenla, a right-footed central midfielder, arrives in Stockholm after developing his game with Remo Stars’ reserve team in Nigeria. The switch marks his first move into European football and places him in a youth structure renowned for feeding players into AIK’s senior squad.

Standing at 1.71m, Agbenla will link up immediately with AIK’s under-19 group as he begins the next stage of his career in Sweden. His long-term contract underlines the club’s commitment to integrating him into their pathway over several seasons rather than as a short-term addition.

The transfer was completed on 17 July 2026 as part of AIK’s preparations for the 2026-27 campaign at youth level. By securing Agbenla on terms through to the end of 2030, the Stockholm side have added a Nigerian midfielder to their ranks with ample time to adapt to a new environment and competition structure.

Agbenla is now officially registered as an AIK U19 player for the coming season under his new long-term contract.
