Al Ahly have not submitted an official offer to sign Egypt international Ibrahim Adel, according to journalist Khaled Al Ghandour, who says the reported interest has been limited to informal discussions rather than formal negotiations.
Speaking on his television programme Stadium Al-Mihrab, Al Ghandour stated that the Cairo giants have only made verbal enquiries to assess the possibility of a deal and have not presented an official bid to the player’s club, Danish side FC Nordsjælland.
Ibrahim Adel prioritises Europe
According to Al Ghandour, the 25-year-old winger has already informed both FC Nordsjælland’s management and his representatives that his priority is to continue his career in European football.
The former Pyramids FC star is reportedly determined to remain abroad, viewing Europe as the best environment to continue his development and advance his career.
The report adds that even if Adel leaves the Danish club, he is not currently considering a return to the Egyptian Premier League.
Instead, the attacker is said to favour a move to another European club, believing it offers the best opportunity to improve his technical abilities and secure his long-term football ambitions.

Al Ghandour’s comments suggest that speculation linking Ibrahim Adel with Al Ahly has eased for the time being.
With the player focused on extending his European journey, a return to Egyptian football does not appear to be part of his immediate plans.
For now, Adel’s future remains firmly tied to Europe, with any potential transfer expected to involve another club on the continent rather than a move back to the Egyptian league.
