Yann Diomandé dismisses PSG transfer talk to focus on Ivory Coast’s World Cup campaign

Ivory Coast forward Yan Diomandé has brushed aside mounting speculation linking him with a move to Paris Saint-Germain, insisting his full attention remains on the FIFA World Cup as the Elephants prepare for their Round of 16 clash against Norway.

The highly rated attacker has emerged as one of the standout performers of the tournament, fuelling reports that he could be on the verge of joining the French champions.

Despite the growing rumours, Diomandé made it clear that transfer discussions are the last thing on his mind while representing his country.

Speaking during a press conference, the Ivorian international appeared surprised when asked about the reported interest from Paris Saint-Germain.

“You’re informing me. I don’t have internet, I don’t have Instagram, I don’t have TikTok. My agent is talking to the club, I don’t have any information.”

His response underlined his determination to remain detached from speculation, leaving any negotiations over his future to his representatives while he concentrates on the national team.

Diomandé stressed that the World Cup is a unique opportunity that deserves his complete focus and refused to let transfer rumours distract him at such a crucial stage of the tournament.

“I won’t say anything, I’m focused on the World Cup.”

The winger explained that he has deliberately avoided discussing his club future, even with his agent, because of the importance of competing on football’s biggest stage.

“I don’t want to talk about it, not even with my agent, because it’s a chance to play in a World Cup, it only comes around every four years, so you have to make the most of it.”

For Diomandé, representing Ivory Coast outweighs any uncertainty surrounding his next club, with his ambition centred on helping the Elephants achieve something special in the tournament.

“I want to make history with my country and give my best.”

As Ivory Coast prepare for a decisive knockout encounter against Norway, Diomandé’s message leaves little doubt about his priorities.

Rather than focusing on transfer speculation, the talented forward is fully committed to extending the Elephants’ World Cup journey before turning his attention to decisions regarding his club future.
