Cameroon and France forward Frank Magri, currently without a club after leaving Toulouse, is being linked with a move to Ligue 1 side Nice. The 26-year-old centre-forward became a free agent at the start of July and is understood to be under consideration as Nice assess low-cost attacking options ahead of the new season.
Magri, born in Agen and standing at 1.78m, left Toulouse this summer after his contract expired, with his market value last updated at around €3m. A move to the Allianz Riviera would keep him in the French top flight, where he has already built up notable experience. Across his time in Ligue 1, Magri has made 77 appearances, scoring 15 goals and adding four assists.
Before arriving at Toulouse in 2023, Magri made his name with SC Bastia, impressing in Ligue 2 with 15 goals in 36 appearances. That form earned him a reported €2m switch to the then newly-promoted Ligue 1 side, where he also gained European experience with eight appearances and one goal in the Europa League.
Capable through the middle as a right-footed centre-forward, Magri offers a profile familiar to French clubs after several seasons spent across the country’s professional tiers. His dual Cameroon and France nationality may also be of interest to clubs balancing domestic and international commitments.
With no transfer fee required and his contract situation already resolved, Magri’s future is expected to be a focus in the closing weeks of the window as Nice and other suitors weigh up a move for the unattached striker.
