Mali defender Amadou Dante has joined Czech side Zbrojovka Brno from Portuguese club Arouca.
The 25-year-old left-back moves to Brno from Liga Portugal, where he had been on the books at Arouca. The deal, completed on 16 July 2026, sees Dante leave Portuguese football for the Czech second tier, the Chance Liga.
Dante strengthens a Brno back line looking to add experience from a higher-level competition, having arrived from a club competing in Portugal’s top division. His ability to operate on the left of defence gives the Czech side a specialist option in a key area of the pitch.
Capped at youth level for Mali and now in his mid-twenties, Dante is entering what are typically considered peak years for a defender. His move to Brno offers him the chance to establish himself in Central Europe after his spell in Portugal.
Zbrojovka Brno, who have been working to build a squad capable of pushing for promotion from the Chance Liga, have targeted players with experience in stronger European leagues, and Dante’s arrival fits that profile.
With a current market value listed at around €1.2 million, Dante becomes one of the more notable defensive arrivals in the Czech second tier this summer window, as Brno complete the signing to bolster their options on the left side of defence.
