French-Senegalese winger Ismail Seydi has joined Danish side Sonderjyske from Rapid Wien II, signing a contract until 30 June 2030. The 25-year-old left-sided attacker moves to the Superliga after a standout spell in Austria’s second tier.
Seydi, who is right-footed but operates primarily from the left wing, has been valued at around €600,000 and becomes one of the longer-term additions to Sonderjyske’s squad. He links up with the club immediately following confirmation of the move on 17 July 2026.
Born in Paris in July 2001 and standing at 1.81m, Seydi arrives in Denmark with experience of both top-flight and second-division football. He featured for Rapid Vienna in the Austrian Bundesliga before consolidating his senior career with Rapid Wien II, where he built his reputation as an attacking wide player.
Across his professional appearances to date, Seydi has played in Austria’s Regional League East and 2. Liga, as well as Liga Portugal 2 during a loan spell with Torreense. In those competitions he has contributed goals and assists while accumulating regular minutes, including 37 games and 11 goals at regional-league level and further outings in Portugal’s second tier and cup competitions.
Seydi’s time with Torreense also brought silverware, as he was part of the squad that lifted the Portuguese Cup in 2026, having previously won the Austrian Eastern Regionalliga title with Rapid Wien II in 2023-24.
Having moved from Rapid Wien II to Sonderjyske on this long-term agreement, Seydi is now tied to the Danish Superliga club through to the summer of 2030.
