Youssef En-Nesyri: Morocco striker linked with surprise MAS Fes return from Al-Ittihad

Morocco forward Youssef En-Nesyri, currently with Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad, is being linked with a surprise move to Botola Pro outfit MAS Fes in what would be a high-profile return to his hometown club.

The 29-year-old, born in Fes and a youth product of MAS Fes, only joined Al-Ittihad in February 2026 from Fenerbahce in a deal worth €15m. His current market value is estimated at €17m, underlining the scale of any potential transfer if the Moroccan club attempt to bring him back to where his professional journey began.

En-Nesyri has registered six goals in 13 league appearances for Al-Ittihad, adding two strikes in four AFC Champions League games as he adjusts to life in Saudi Arabia. Before his move to the Gulf, he built his reputation in Europe with Sevilla, where he became a two-time Europa League winner and established himself as a consistent scorer in continental competition.

At international level, En-Nesyri’s status was further enhanced when he helped Morocco win the Africa Cup of Nations in 2025, adding a major international honour to his club success. A return to MAS Fes would mark a notable shift from the trajectory that has taken him from Fes to Spain, Turkey and now Saudi Arabia.

En-Nesyri’s contract length at Al-Ittihad has not been made public, and there has been no indication yet that formal talks are under way, but interest from MAS Fes is expected to test the Saudi club’s resolve to keep one of their leading attacking players.
