Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said the club had been given “a reason for enormous pride” after beating Liverpool 1-0 in the ninth round of the English championship.
The victory was Arsenal’s first at Liverpool’s stadium in 14 years. The result moved Arteta’s side to the top of the table on 24 points.
“We gave everyone connected with the club a reason for enormous pride,” Arteta said.
