The 22-year-old centre-forward, currently valued at around €275,000, remains under contract with Esperance until June 2029, meaning any potential move would require the approval of the Tunisian champions.
Bouassida joined Esperance from ES Métlaoui last summer before spending part of the 2025/26 campaign on loan at AS Soliman. He returned to Esperance at the end of the season after gaining valuable first-team experience in the Tunisian top flight.
Standing at 1.92 metres, the striker has attracted attention with his physical presence and growing experience in Ligue 1, making him one of the attacking players currently being monitored by US Monastir.
Across his career in the Tunisian top flight, Bouassida has made more than 50 league appearances, scoring nine goals and providing three assists. He has also featured in the Tunisian Cup and made appearances in the CAF Champions League.
The young forward was part of the Esperance squad that won the 2025 Tunisian Super Cup, adding silverware during his first season with the club.
Esperance are under no immediate pressure to sell, with Bouassida still viewed as a promising long-term option following his return from loan.
Any negotiations with US Monastir are therefore expected to centre on whether the coastal club can submit an offer capable of convincing Esperance to part with a player they signed only last year and have tied down on a long-term contract.
While no agreement has been reached, Monastir’s interest reflects the growing demand for young domestic talent as clubs continue to strengthen their squads ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
