Moroccan forward Soufiane Rahimi continues to strengthen his legacy at Al Ain FC after another brilliant performance in front of goal pushed him further up the club’s all-time scoring charts.
The 28-year-old starred in Al Ain’s emphatic 5-0 victory over Al Dhafra FC in the penultimate round of the UAE Pro League season, scoring twice to take his league tally to 46 goals since arriving in 2021.
The brace moved Rahimi into seventh place on Al Ain’s all-time league scoring rankings, underlining the remarkable impact he has made in a relatively short period at the club.
His rapid rise has seen him overtake several notable names in Al Ain history, including club legend Omar Abdulrahman, popularly known as “Amouri,” as well as Saif Sultan.
Rahimi’s consistency and clinical finishing have established him as one of the UAE Pro League’s most dangerous attacking players. Since joining Al Ain, the Moroccan international has become a key figure in both domestic and continental competitions, regularly delivering in decisive moments.
The former Raja Club Athletic star elevated his reputation even further during Al Ain’s triumphant 2023–24 AFC Champions League campaign, where he finished as the tournament’s top scorer with 13 goals.
His outstanding displays earned him the AFC Champions League Best Player award and cemented his status as one of the most influential African footballers currently playing in Asia.
Rahimi now sits just seven goals behind Salem Johar, who occupies sixth place on Al Ain’s all-time league scoring list with 53 goals. At the top of the rankings remains prolific Togolese striker Laba Kodjo.
With his current form showing no signs of slowing down, Rahimi appears well-positioned to continue climbing the club’s historic scoring charts as the season draws to a close.
