Oluwabori Falaye: Canada-Nigeria forward linked with move from KF Tirana to Irtysh Pavlodar

Canada-Nigeria centre-forward Oluwabori Falaye of KF Tirana is being linked with a summer move to Kazakhstan Premier Liga side Irtysh, with the Albanian club understood to be braced for interest in the 27-year-old.

Falaye joined Tirana in August 2025 on a free transfer after a brief spell without a club and has since worked his way into the first-team picture in the Kategoria Superiore. He made 24 league appearances last season, scoring twice and adding one assist, largely operating through the middle of the attack.

Irtysh are believed to view Falaye as a relatively low-cost option, with his current market valuation standing at about €100,000. Both-footed and standing at 1.83m, he would offer the Kazakh side depth at centre-forward as they look to strengthen their squad for the Premier Liga campaign.

Before moving to Albania, Falaye spent several seasons in Germany’s regional system, notably with FSV Frankfurt in the Regionalliga Sudwest, where he recorded six goals and six assists in 38 league games and won the Hessen Cup in the 2022-23 season. Earlier stints included time with Alemannia Aachen and VfB Hilden, as well as a spell in Portugal’s youth ranks with Estoril’s U23s.

Falaye was born in Providence and holds both Canadian and Nigerian nationality, but his career to date has been entirely at club level. With no fixed contract end date publicly disclosed at Tirana, any move to Irtysh is expected to hinge on the Albanian club’s willingness to negotiate a fee in line with his current valuation.
