Nigeria winger Olakunle Olusegun has joined FC Rostov from Russian champions FC Krasnodar in a permanent transfer worth €450,000. The 24-year-old left-sided attacker has signed a contract with Rostov running until 30 June 2029.
Olusegun arrives after helping Krasnodar secure the Russian Premier Liga title in 2025, adding top-flight experience and versatility across the front line. Right-footed but operating primarily from the left wing, he has already built up extensive knowledge of Russian football and will stay in the Premier Liga with this move.
The Ilorin-born forward spent last season on the books of Krasnodar, having returned to the club in June 2026 following a loan spell at fellow Premier Liga side Pari NN. He originally joined Krasnodar in 2022 from Bulgarian club Botev Plovdiv in a €1.2m transfer.
Across his time in Russia, Olusegun has made more than 100 league appearances, scoring 15 goals and providing 11 assists in the top flight, while also featuring regularly in the Russian Cup and Super Cup. He previously played in Denmark with Fremad Amager and in Bulgaria with Botev Plovdiv before establishing himself in the Russian game.
Standing at 1.67m, Olusegun has also shown an eye for goal in cup competitions, including a prolific spell in the Betano Pokalen during his time in Bulgaria. His move to Rostov keeps him in a league where he has already demonstrated consistent end product and durability.
Olusegun’s switch from Krasnodar to Rostov for €450,000 is now complete, with the Nigeria winger tied to his new club until the summer of 2029.
