Liverpool ready to spend £75m on Yan Diomande

Liverpool FC are reportedly prepared to make a major financial commitment in pursuit of highly rated winger Yan Diomande, with the club said to be willing to spend up to £75 million on the RB Leipzig youngster.

The Premier League side are understood to be prioritising attacking reinforcements ahead of next season as they continue plans to reshape and strengthen their forward line.

Diomande, 19, has emerged as one of Liverpool’s leading transfer targets following an impressive breakthrough campaign in Germany.

According to reports, Leipzig value the winger at around €100 million (£87 million), a figure that reflects both his age and growing reputation as one of Europe’s most promising attacking talents.

Liverpool are nevertheless believed to be seriously considering a move as the club explores options capable of adding pace, creativity and versatility to their attack.

The teenager’s rapid rise has attracted attention from across Europe, with his performances reportedly convincing Liverpool’s recruitment staff that he could fit into the club’s long-term plans.

While Diomande is currently viewed as a priority target, Liverpool are also monitoring alternative options in the market.

Among the names linked with the club is Bradley Barcola of Paris Saint-Germain, who is also regarded as one of Europe’s most exciting young wide players.

Liverpool’s reported interest in attacking reinforcements comes as the club looks to further evolve its tactical structure ahead of next season.

Reports suggest the recruitment strategy is centred on finding a dynamic winger capable of operating effectively alongside a recognised central striker, with Newcastle United forward Alexander Isak among the profiles linked with Liverpool’s broader attacking plans.

The club are believed to want greater flexibility and penetration in wide areas, with an emphasis on players capable of both scoring goals and creating opportunities in high-intensity attacking systems.

Diomande’s pace, direct running and ability to operate across multiple attacking positions are understood to be qualities Liverpool view as particularly valuable.

Despite the growing speculation, Leipzig are not expected to make negotiations straightforward.

The Bundesliga side have developed a reputation for demanding high transfer fees for their top young talents, particularly those viewed as central to the club’s long-term sporting project.

As the summer transfer window approaches, Diomande’s future is likely to become one of the most closely watched stories in the European market, especially with Liverpool appearing increasingly determined to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the new campaign.
