Kaizer Chiefs have reinforced their defensive department ahead of the 2026/27 season after completing the signing of experienced centre-back Thabo Moloisane from Stellenbosch FC.
The 26-year-old arrives at Naturena following an impressive spell with Stellenbosch, where he developed into one of the Premier Soccer League’s most dependable defenders and played a major role in the club’s rise among South Africa’s top teams.
Moloisane leaves the Cape Winelands outfit after making 115 appearances, earning a reputation for his composure, consistency and leadership at the heart of defence. His impressive performances also opened the door to international recognition with Bafana Bafana.
His addition is expected to bring stability and valuable experience to the Amakhosi backline as the club continues its efforts to rebuild and challenge for major honours in the upcoming season.
The defender also arrives with continental experience, having featured for Stellenbosch in the CAF Confederation Cup against some of Africa’s strongest clubs. That exposure is viewed as an important advantage for a Chiefs side aiming to return to prominence both domestically and on the continent.
Moloisane will join his new teammates during pre-season preparations at Naturena as the technical team begins to shape the squad ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
