Galatasaray determined to keep Victor Osimhen amid transfer interest

Galatasaray have no intention of allowing Victor Osimhen to leave during the summer transfer window, despite growing speculation about the Nigeria international’s future.

According to Footy-Africa, the Turkish club regard Osimhen as a central part of their sporting plans and are not considering his sale. The Istanbul-based side have not received an official offer for the 27-year-old, but remain aware of interest from several leading European clubs.

Osimhen joined Galatasaray after his spell with Napoli and quickly established himself as one of the most prolific forwards in the Turkish championship. His performances have attracted attention across Europe, prompting reports that a move could be possible during the current transfer window.

FC Barcelona, Chelsea and Tottenham have all been mentioned as potential destinations for the striker. However, Galatasaray’s position is understood to be firm. The club’s leadership believes Osimhen is essential to its ambitions both domestically and in European competitions.

The Turkish champions do not currently intend to open negotiations, even as interest in their frontman continues to increase. In the absence of an official bid, there has been no indication that Galatasaray are prepared to change their stance.

Osimhen remains under contract with Galatasaray until 30 June 2029. He is said to be fully focused on achieving his objectives with the club and, unless there is a major change before the end of the transfer window, is expected to continue his career in Turkey.

Since arriving, the Nigeria forward has become one of Galatasaray’s principal figures. His importance to the team is reflected in the club’s refusal to consider a departure, with the player viewed as a key element of its plans for both national success and progress in Europe.

Osimhen currently earns an annual salary of €18,750,000, equivalent to 12,187,500,000 FCFA. His market value is estimated at €75m by Transfermarkt.

For now, Galatasaray’s message is clear: despite the transfer rumours and the interest reportedly shown by major clubs, Osimhen is not available. Unless circumstances change significantly before the window closes, the striker will remain in Istanbul and continue as one of the leading figures in the club’s project.
