Fulham step up pursuit of former winger Martial Godo

Fulham have reportedly intensified their efforts to re-sign Ivory Coast winger Martial Godo, with the Premier League club keen to bring the Strasbourg attacker back to Craven Cottage this summer.

According to reports, the Cottagers have emerged as one of the leading contenders for the 23-year-old’s signature after an impressive campaign in Ligue 1, with the club viewing him as a key target ahead of the new season.

Chelsea and Coventry City have also been credited with an interest, but Fulham’s previous relationship with the winger is believed to give them an advantage in the race for his signature.

Impressive season boosts transfer interest

Godo enjoyed a standout campaign with Strasbourg, establishing himself as one of the club’s most influential attacking players.

The Ivory Coast international finished the season with an impressive return of 16 goals and five assists, performances that have attracted attention from several clubs across England.

His development since leaving Fulham in September 2025 has reportedly convinced the West London club that he is ready to make an impact in the Premier League.

Fulham offer pathway back

Fulham are understood to be trying to persuade Godo by offering him a significant role in Marco Silva’s long-term plans.

The club believe the winger’s pace, creativity and eye for goal would strengthen their attacking options and are reportedly prepared to offer him regular first-team opportunities if he returns to Craven Cottage.

The move would also mark a homecoming for Godo, who came through Fulham’s academy before departing for Strasbourg to continue his development.

Competition remains

Despite Fulham’s strong interest, they are expected to face stiff competition for the Ivorian’s signature.

Chelsea and Coventry City continue to monitor the winger’s situation, meaning Fulham may need to move quickly if they want to secure a deal.

With the transfer window gathering pace, Godo’s future is expected to become clearer in the coming weeks as interested clubs step up their pursuit of one of Strasbourg’s standout performers.
