Portugal-Angola winger Edgar Pacheco has joined Atletico CP on a free transfer from Luxembourg side Differdange 03. The 26-year-old left-sided attacker arrives in Lisbon from the BGL Ligue to link up with the Liga 3 club ahead of the new campaign.
Pacheco, who operates primarily as a left winger, switches to Portuguese football after his spell in Luxembourg, with the transfer completed on 24 July 2026. He becomes one of Atletico CP’s latest attacking additions as the historic Lisbon outfit prepare for another season in the third tier.
The dual-nationality wide player leaves Differdange 03 having enhanced his reputation sufficiently to attract interest from Portugal, moving without a fee despite being listed with a market value of around €100,000. His ability to play high on the flank is expected to provide Atletico CP with extra width and pace in the final third.
The move also represents a return to his home country’s league system, as he looks to establish himself in Liga 3 with a club that has long-standing roots in Portuguese football. Pacheco’s arrival further underlines Atletico CP’s intent to strengthen their squad with players who have experience abroad as well as ties to Portugal.
Pacheco’s transfer from Differdange 03 to Atletico CP is confirmed as a free transfer.
