Chelsea could target Jules Kounde if Trent Alexander-Arnold move fails

Chelsea are planning to strengthen their right side of defence during the winter transfer window, according to journalist Juan Jesus.

The London club’s preferred option is Real Madrid full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold. However, Chelsea are expected to turn their attention to Barcelona defender Jules Kounde if they are unable to sign Trent.

Trent Alexander-Arnold has played in eight matches in all competitions this season and has provided one assist. Kounde has also made eight appearances, scoring one goal and recording one assist.

Chelsea are fourth in the Premier League after 10 rounds, with 16 points.
