Portugal-Angola winger Edgar Pacheco has joined Atletico CP on a free transfer from Luxembourgish side Differdange 03. The 26-year-old left-sided attacker has signed a deal running until 30 June 2027 with the Liga 3 club.
Pacheco, who was born in Seixal and stands at 1.76m, returns to Portuguese football after a successful spell abroad that brought silverware and a league runners-up medal. Atletico CP have secured him shortly after his market value was listed at €100,000, adding a right-footed option for the left wing to their squad for the new campaign.
The move ends a one-year stay at Differdange 03, whom he joined in July 2025 after a short period without a club. During his time in Luxembourg he helped the club lift the national cup in the 2025-26 season, adding a major domestic trophy to his career honours.
Before heading to Luxembourg, Pacheco played for Bulgarian side Cherno More Varna, having arrived there on a free from B SAD in February 2023. His spell in Bulgaria included a Bulgarian league runners-up finish in 2024, underlining his experience in competitive European environments.
A product of several Portuguese youth systems, Pacheco previously progressed through Real SC, Belenenses and Alverca at under-19 level before stepping into senior football with B SAD. He is comfortable operating as an attacking left winger who cuts in on his stronger right foot.
Pacheco’s arrival on a free transfer from Differdange 03 completes Atletico CP’s latest attacking reinforcement ahead of the 2026-27 Liga 3 season.
