Cameroon defender Kingue on radar of Turkish and Hungarian clubs

Cameroonian defender Steve Kingue is attracting growing attention from clubs across Europe following a consistent run of performances with Polish side Radomiak Radom.

The 26-year-old centre-back, who joined the club in January 2025, has emerged as a key figure in the team’s defensive setup this season.

Reports indicate that Turkish side Antalyaspor and Hungarian club Debreceni VSC are both closely monitoring his progress ahead of a possible move in the upcoming transfer window.

Kingue, who was born in Yaoundé, has made over 20 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring once while maintaining a strong presence at the back.

His reliability is further reflected in his high starting rate in league matches, underlining his importance to the Polish outfit.

Still under contract with Radomiak until June 2027, the defender is not under immediate pressure to leave.

However, his steady development has not gone unnoticed, with multiple clubs reportedly seeking defensive reinforcements and viewing him as a viable option.

The interest from Antalyaspor and Debreceni VSC highlights the growing demand for physically strong and tactically disciplined defenders in European leagues.

Both clubs are believed to be keen on strengthening their backlines, and Kingue’s profile fits their requirements.

Despite the increasing attention, no formal negotiations have been confirmed at this stage.

Sources suggest that discussions between the parties have yet to begin, leaving the situation open as the end of the season approaches.

For Kingue, the coming months could prove decisive. With his current club campaign nearing its conclusion, the Cameroonian international at under-23 level is expected to evaluate his options carefully before making any move.

His journey reflects a broader trend of African players continuing to make their mark in European football, often using leagues such as Poland’s as a stepping stone to further opportunities across the continent.

Kingue’s performances this season have contributed to his rising market value, currently estimated at around €900,000. While still modest compared to Europe’s elite defenders, it represents steady growth and increasing recognition of his abilities.

Meanwhile, Antalyaspor are preparing for their upcoming league fixture against Beşiktaş J.K., as clubs across Europe begin shaping their squads for the next campaign.
