Ghana’s Black Stars, have begun preparations for their upcoming international friendly against Austria, with 21 players taking part in a training session at the Vienna Football Campus on Monday.

The session, which lasted around an hour, marked the team’s first organised activity since players began arriving in Austria.

It focused primarily on recovery work for those who had featured for their respective clubs on Sunday, while the rest of the squad undertook tactical exercises and shooting drills as part of early preparations for the match.

The squad also featured Caleb Yirenkyi, Kojo Oppong Pepprah, Jonas Adjetey, Marvin Senaya, and Gideon Mensah, all of whom participated in various drills designed to build cohesion within the group.

Further attacking options included Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Antoine Semenyo, Kamal Deen Sulemana, and Daniel Agyei, all of whom were involved in the offensive drills.

The team’s preparations received a further boost with the arrival of deputy captain Thomas Partey, who joined the camp in Vienna later on Monday.

His inclusion brings the total number of players currently in camp to 22, strengthening the squad ahead of the friendly encounter.

Team officials are also expecting additional reinforcements, with Alexander Djiku and Kojo Oppong Peprah scheduled to arrive on Tuesday. Their arrival is anticipated to complete the squad as preparations continue to gather pace.
