Alberigo Evani says Milan can turn Scudetto belief into reality under Ruben Amorim

Alberigo Evani believes Milan have the ability to win the Serie A title in the coming season, with the club preparing for a new campaign under Portuguese manager Ruben Amorim.

Evani, a former Milan player, is confident the Rossoneri can compete for the Scudetto despite the change in the dugout. His assessment comes as the club begins a new chapter with Amorim in charge.

“Milan can win the Scudetto,” Evani said.

The Italian side will start the season with Amorim as manager, as the club is once again led by a Portuguese coach. This time, the responsibility has passed to Amorim, who will oversee Milan’s preparations for the new Serie A campaign.

The new season is due to begin in a week, meaning there is little time left before the first competitive fixtures. Milan’s opening match will be against Torino in the first round.

That fixture will provide the first opportunity to see the team under its new manager in Serie A. It will also begin Milan’s attempt to challenge for the Italian championship, a prospect Evani believes is within the club’s reach.

Evani’s view gives the Rossoneri an optimistic target before the campaign gets under way. Rather than simply competing at the top end of the division, his prediction is that Milan can go all the way and claim the Scudetto.

The immediate focus, however, will be the opening-day meeting with Torino. From that match, Amorim’s Milan will begin its bid to match the expectations surrounding the club and pursue the title identified by Evani as a realistic possibility.
