Al Ahly are preparing for a substantial increase in financial resources ahead of the summer transfer window, with the club reportedly close to securing several lucrative sponsorship and broadcasting agreements.
According to a source quoted by WinWin, Al Ahly expect major payments to arrive during the first weeks of June, coinciding with the conclusion of the Egyptian football season.
The Egyptian champions are scheduled to complete their domestic campaign next Wednesday when they face Al Masry SC at the Egyptian Army Stadium in Borg El Arab.
The report stated that Al Ahly have already signed an agreement extending satellite broadcasting rights for first-team matches for the next four years, with the deal running until the end of the 2030 season.
The source explained that an advance payment connected to the next season’s broadcasting agreement is expected to reach the club soon, adding to what is anticipated to be one of the largest financial periods in Al Ahly’s recent history.
In addition to television revenues, the club has reportedly concluded a major sponsorship agreement with an international telecommunications company.
According to the source, the agreement is valued at approximately 1.3 billion Egyptian pounds, while two additional sponsorship contracts are expected to generate a further 550 million pounds.
The source said: “Al-Ahly also signed an agreement with one of the global telecommunications companies to be the main sponsor of the club, for an amount of up to 1.3 billion pounds, in addition to 2 other sponsors, for an amount of up to 550 million pounds.”
The report also indicated that three additional sponsorship negotiations are currently nearing completion.
These proposed deals reportedly include advertising rights connected to the club’s training facilities, including promotional placements at Mokhtar El-Tetsh Stadium.
Club officials believe the total financial return from broadcasting rights and sponsorship agreements could approach 2.85 billion Egyptian pounds over the coming four years.
According to the source, most major commercial rights linked to the football team have now been sold, while a limited number of smaller sponsorship opportunities remain under discussion.
The source further explained that Al Ahly’s board granted the club’s football company authority to negotiate sponsorship agreements over a four-year period in exchange for a specific financial arrangement.
The company is said to have spent the past year engaged in extensive negotiations designed to maximise the commercial value of each partnership.
The report suggested that several contractual details are still under discussion as the club attempts to secure the highest possible financial return before final agreements are finalised.
Officials reportedly believe the sponsorship packages will provide the club with additional benefits extending beyond direct financial income over the duration of the contracts.
The anticipated financial boost comes at an important moment for Al Ahly, who are expected to make significant changes to their squad during the upcoming transfer window.
According to the report, the club is eager to strengthen the core of the first team and reassess the future of several foreign players following performances that were considered disappointing during the current campaign.
The additional resources are therefore expected to play a central role in shaping Al Ahly’s transfer strategy as the club seeks to reinforce the squad and maintain its position among Africa’s leading football institutions.
