Abdelhak Belkacemi: Algerian left-back joins CR Temouchent on free transfer

Algerian defender Abdelhak Belkacemi has joined CR Temouchent on a free transfer from US Biskra. The 33-year-old left-back moves within Ligue 1, adding top-flight experience to Temouchent’s defensive options ahead of the new campaign.

Belkacemi makes the switch after a stop-start spell with US Biskra, whom he rejoined in August 2025 following a season at NC Magra. His latest move continues a career spent entirely in Algerian football, with the full-back now taking on a new challenge at Temouchent.

A left-footer standing 1.70m tall, Belkacemi has built a reputation as a steady presence at the back, amassing 84 appearances in Ligue 1 and contributing one goal and seven assists. He has also featured in both the Coupe d’Algerie and the Coupe de la Ligue d’Algerie, underlining his experience in domestic cup competitions as well as the league.

Belkacemi’s career has seen him represent a number of Algerian clubs, including Chelghoum Laid and O Medea, after earlier spells with ES Mostaganem, OM Arzew and SCM Oran. His move to CR Temouchent marks the latest step in a journey that has taken him across several levels of the national game.

The transfer was completed on 16 July 2026, with Belkacemi leaving US Biskra to sign for CR Temouchent on a free transfer.
