Moroccan giants Wydad Athletic Club have confirmed the return of Morocco international Yahya Attiat-Allah after completing the signing of the experienced left-back on a one-year contract ahead of the new season.
The 30-year-old rejoins the Casablanca club following a successful previous spell, during which he established himself as one of the leading full-backs in Moroccan football.
Known for his attacking threat, defensive consistency and ability to influence matches from the left flank, Attiat-Allah played a key role in Wydad’s domestic and continental successes before becoming a regular with the Morocco national team.
His performances at club level also earned him valuable international experience, representing the Atlas Lions against some of the world’s top teams.
Wydad believe the defender’s return will significantly strengthen the squad as they aim to challenge for domestic honours and re-establish themselves among Africa’s leading clubs.
The club’s technical team is expected to rely on Attiat-Allah’s experience, leadership and winning mentality, while his presence is also seen as an opportunity to mentor younger members of the squad.
Beyond reinforcing the left side of defence, Wydad view the signing as part of a broader effort to improve competition within the team ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.
Announcing the defender’s return, the club wrote: “Wearing the Wydad jersey is an honor, giving your all for it is a duty.”
