Spanish-Moroccan centre-forward Zaki has joined UD Melilla from R. B. Linense on a free transfer, returning to the club where he began his senior career pathway. The 24-year-old has signed a contract with Melilla until 30 June 2027.
Zaki’s move was completed on 4 August, giving UD Melilla an experienced addition to their attacking options ahead of the new campaign. He made 12 appearances across league, promotion and Copa del Rey competition during the previous season, scoring once in Primera Federacion – Group II.
The striker spent the 2025-26 season with R. B. Linense after leaving Cordoba CF B. His time at Linense followed a spell with Cordoba’s reserve side, which he joined from Linares in July 2024, also on a free transfer.
Born in Melilla on 2 July 2002, Zaki previously represented Melilla’s under-19 side before moving to Elche’s youth system in September 2020. He then continued his development with UCAM Murcia U19 and CD Intergym before joining Real Jaen CF in January 2022.
His career has included moves through several Spanish clubs, with each of his recorded senior transfers completed without a fee. He joined Linares from Real Jaen in July 2023, before moving to Cordoba CF B the following summer.
At Melilla, Zaki will return to his birthplace and link up with the club after a season in which he featured regularly across three competitions. His league record last season consisted of nine appearances and one goal, while he also played in two promotion matches and made one Copa del Rey appearance.
The contract ties the forward to UD Melilla for the 2026-27 season and the campaign that follows it. He becomes part of the club’s squad as a centre-forward following his departure from R. B. Linense.
Zaki’s transfer to UD Melilla was completed as a free move on 4 August 2026.
