Senegal forward Sadio Mané scored and provided an assist as Al-Nassr came from behind to beat Al-Kholood 5-3 in the Saudi Pro League on Thursday, taking his attacking contribution tally to eight in 11 league appearances this season.
The 2026-27 campaign has been a productive one for the former Liverpool and Bayern Munich forward, who has now registered three goals and five assists in the Saudi top flight.
Mané was again central to Al-Nassr’s attacking performance, contributing directly to two goals in a match that also saw Cristiano Ronaldo score a second-half hat-trick.
Al-Nassr initially found themselves behind after Julien Domingues opened the scoring for Al-Kholood in the 16th minute.
The home side responded eight minutes later, with Ângelo bringing the scores level in the 24th minute as Al-Nassr began to take control of the contest.
Mané then completed the turnaround in the 38th minute, finishing a move created by João Félix to put his side ahead. The goal was his third in the league this season and further underlined his importance to the team’s forward play.
The Senegalese international was not finished there, as he also supplied an assist during the encounter to help Al-Nassr secure an entertaining 5-3 victory.
Ronaldo took centre stage after the interval, scoring three times to complete his hat-trick and ensure that Al-Nassr collected all three points.
For Mané, the latest performance adds to an impressive run of contributions since the beginning of the campaign.
After 11 league matches, his record stands at three goals and five assists, making him one of the team’s most influential attacking players.
His numbers also highlight the different ways he contributes to Al-Nassr’s forward play. While his goal against Al-Kholood demonstrated his ability to finish chances, his assist showed his value in creating opportunities for team-mates.
That combination has made the Senegal forward an important part of the club’s attacking options, alongside Ronaldo and Portuguese playmaker João Félix.
Al-Nassr have benefited from having players capable of influencing matches in different ways, with Mané’s experience and versatility providing another dimension to their attacking approach.
The victory over Al-Kholood also strengthened the club’s position in the Saudi Pro League standings. The result moved Al-Nassr back into second place, keeping them among the leading challengers as the campaign continues.
Mané’s contribution will be particularly encouraging for the club as they seek to maintain pressure on their rivals near the top of the table.
With three goals and five assists already recorded, the Senegalese forward has made a strong start to the season and is on course for another productive campaign in Saudi Arabia.
His ability to combine goalscoring with creativity has given Al-Nassr an important attacking outlet, while his understanding with players such as Ronaldo and Félix continues to provide the team with different attacking possibilities.
There is still a considerable part of the season to play, and Mané will have the opportunity to improve on his current figures.
For now, however, his goal and assist against Al-Kholood have provided another demonstration of his influence, as Al-Nassr continue their pursuit of the Saudi Pro League’s leading positions.
