Seif Fathy seals move to El Rebat & Anwar as Egyptian goalkeeper signs on free transfer

Egyptian goalkeeper Seif Fathy has joined El Rebat & Anwar on a free transfer from G Football Club, signing a contract that runs until 30 June 2028.

The 31-year-old, born in Cairo, arrives after two seasons of domestic moves, most recently switching to G Football Club from Kima Aswan on a free in September 2024. His latest deal gives El Rebat & Anwar a long-term option between the posts, with the transfer completed on 27 July 2026.

Fathy, a right-footed keeper, has spent much of his senior career in Egyptian football following an early spell abroad. After emerging from Petrojet’s youth ranks, he moved to Manchester City’s youth system in 2011 before continuing his development with Hungarian side Ujpest at under-17 level and then Pyramids’ under-21s.

He made his senior breakthrough at Harras Hodoud, leaving the club in 2015 and later rebuilding his career with a series of free transfers, including moves to Spanish sides CD La Granja and PE Sant Jordi. A return to Egyptian football with La Viena FC in 2021 was followed by stints at T. Beni Suef and Kima Aswan.

His switch to El Rebat & Anwar marks another step in a career characterised by steady progression through both domestic and overseas clubs. Fathy is now tied to his new side for the next two seasons after completing his free transfer from G Football Club.
