Ivory Coast international Wilfried Zaha has been offered to Spanish club Málaga as the La Liga side considers options to strengthen its attack.
The 33-year-old winger is currently a free agent after his contract with Galatasaray expired, leaving him available to join a new club without a transfer fee.
Zaha is among the players being considered by Málaga as the club explores possible additions to its squad.
However, the Ivorian has not been confirmed as a Málaga signing, with the matter still at the discussion stage.
Zaha’s experience is understood to be one of the factors that could make him an attractive option for the Spanish club. The former Crystal Palace player has played in the Premier League, European competitions and international football.
He has earned 33 caps for Ivory Coast and scored five goals for the national team.
Zaha joined Galatasaray in the summer of 2023 after ending his long association with Crystal Palace. His time in Turkey, however, included two loan spells, first with French club Lyon and later with Major League Soccer side Charlotte FC.
His most recent spell was with Charlotte, where he played after leaving Galatasaray on loan.
Zaha’s loan with the MLS club ended on 30 June 2026, after which he returned to the position of a free agent following the expiration of his Galatasaray contract.
During his time with Charlotte FC, the Ivorian made 46 league and playoff appearances, scoring 13 goals and providing 14 assists, according to the information supplied.
Another account in the source says he scored 13 goals and provided eight assists in 48 matches during his recent spell. The figures differ within the source, but both accounts underline his contribution in front of goal and in creating opportunities.
Málaga are also considering former France international Anthony Martial, who is likewise without a club.
The Spanish club’s interest in experienced attacking players comes after Málaga returned to La Liga in 2026 following an eight-year absence.
For Zaha, a move to Spain would represent another change in a career that has taken him through several clubs and leagues.
He spent a significant period at Crystal Palace before moving to Galatasaray in 2023. Since then, he has had loan spells at Lyon and Charlotte FC.
His career has therefore become increasingly characterised by changes of club, something that could influence Málaga’s assessment of whether to pursue a deal.
The Spanish side will also need to consider questions surrounding Zaha’s consistency and current fitness level before deciding whether his experience outweighs those uncertainties.
