Barcelona have suffered another major departure from their Women’s Champions League-winning side after Salma Paralluelo completed a move to Lyon on a four-year contract.
The French club confirmed the signing of the 23-year-old Spain forward, who leaves Barcelona after four seasons in what is her first professional spell outside her home country.
Paralluelo, named Best Young Player at the 2023 Women’s World Cup won by Spain, will be reunited at Lyon with her former Barcelona coach Jonatan Giraldez, who is leading the ambitious project at the eight-time European champions under owner Michele Kang.
