Cameroonian centre-back Ryan Moumbagna has joined Romanian side M. Lupeni on a free transfer from Cetatea Tr. M. The 24-year-old defender makes the move within Romania as M. Lupeni look to reinforce the heart of their back line ahead of the new campaign.
Moumbagna, who specialises at centre-back, arrives after a spell with Cetatea Tr. M, where he established himself in Romanian football. His switch comes without a transfer fee, giving M. Lupeni added flexibility as they reshape their squad.
The move marks the latest step in Moumbagna’s career in Europe, with the Cameroon-born defender continuing his development in the Romanian game. At 24, he offers M. Lupeni a player with senior experience but still with scope to adapt to a new defensive set-up.
Both clubs operate in the Romanian league system, and Moumbagna’s familiarity with the domestic game is expected to help his integration at M. Lupeni. The transfer was completed on 27 July 2026, finalising his departure from Cetatea Tr. M and confirming his status as a new M. Lupeni player.
