Rwanda head coach Stephen Constantine has named a 24-player squad for the Amavubi’s upcoming international friendlies scheduled to take place in Morocco during the FIFA international break.
The East African side will play two matches in Marrakech, first facing Comoros on 6 June before meeting Tanzania on 9 June in what are expected to be competitive preparatory fixtures.
The announcement highlights a mix of emerging talent and experienced figures, as Rwanda continues to build depth within its national team setup under Constantine’s leadership.
Among the most notable inclusions is forward Noam Fritz Emeran, who currently plays for Dutch club FC Groningen and is seen as one of the promising attacking additions to the squad.
Also included is Fidali Uwiyaremye, who earns recognition following an impressive domestic campaign with Kiyovu Sports, where he stood out for his goal-scoring form.
The squad reflects a deliberate balance between local league performers and players based abroad, as Rwanda looks to strengthen its competitiveness on the international stage.
A significant portion of the selection comes from domestic champions APR FC, who continue to provide a strong backbone for the national team. Their consistent presence underlines the importance of the local league in shaping the national setup.
Alongside the home-based players, Constantine has also called upon key international figures such as Ange Mutsinzi and Djihad Bizimana, both of whom bring valuable experience from playing abroad.
The inclusion of overseas-based players is seen as an important part of Rwanda’s long-term strategy to blend experience from different football environments while maintaining cohesion within the squad.
The upcoming fixtures in Morocco are expected to provide an important opportunity for Constantine to assess his squad in a competitive setting ahead of future international commitments.
The matches against Comoros and Tanzania will also allow the coaching staff to test tactical approaches and evaluate new players, particularly those making their first steps into the senior national team setup.
For Rwanda, the June international window represents another stage in their ongoing efforts to build consistency and depth within the Amavubi squad.
With a combination of emerging prospects and established internationals, the team will be aiming to use the friendlies in Marrakech as a platform to strengthen cohesion and gain valuable match experience.
As preparations continue, attention will now turn to how Constantine integrates the new additions into the squad and how effectively the blend of domestic and foreign-based talent can perform in the upcoming fixtures.
