AS Roma have turned their attention to Eintracht Frankfurt winger Jean-Matteo Bahoya as they continue their search for attacking reinforcements following the end of their pursuit of Crysencio Summerville.
According to journalist Ekrem Konur, the 21-year-old French-Cameroonian is now among the priority profiles being examined by the Serie A club’s hierarchy as they look to strengthen their options on the left side of attack.
Bahoya’s pace, direct running and ability to beat defenders in one-on-one situations are understood to have impressed Roma’s recruitment department, who view him as a player capable of bringing greater energy and unpredictability to their forward line.
Long contract could complicate any deal
Bahoya is under contract with Eintracht Frankfurt until 30 June 2029, and the Bundesliga club still regard him as an important part of their long-term plans.
That lengthy deal is likely to make any negotiations more complex if Roma decide to move beyond initial interest and submit a formal offer to the German side.
The winger currently has an estimated market value of €25m, according to Transfermarkt, reflecting his growing status and potential on the European stage.

Roma’s interest remains at the exploratory stage, with the club assessing whether to convert their admiration for Bahoya into a concrete proposal in the coming weeks.
Having withdrawn from talks over Crysencio Summerville, the capital club are evaluating alternative targets to bolster their attacking options, and Bahoya has emerged as one of the leading candidates under consideration.
