Raphinha pays tribute after Tenerife striker Jesus de Miguel dies

Barcelona captain Raphinha said, “Today I will not talk about football,” after the death of Tenerife forward Jesus de Miguel.

De Miguel was taken to hospital following a collision with Andorra goalkeeper Jesus Owono. He could not be saved.

The tragedy came as Spanish football reacted to the incident involving the Tenerife striker.

On Tuesday, Barcelona beat Aston Villa 3-0, with Raphinha scoring twice. The match began with a minute’s silence in tribute to De Miguel.
