French-DR Congo left-back Rafael Mupemba has joined FCF Neuvillette from Mans Villaret on a free transfer.
The 22-year-old defender completed the move on 20 August 2026, beginning the next stage of his career with the French club. Mupemba was born in Aix-en-Provence and is eligible to represent both France and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Mupemba arrives after two seasons with Mans Villaret, whom he joined from Sable FC B in July 2024, also on a free transfer. He made 29 appearances in the National U19 – Group C competition, scoring once, and also featured in National 2 – Group D.
His record includes three National 2 appearances, as well as one outing in the Coupe de France and one in the Coupe Gambardella. Across those competitions, he has played primarily as a left-back.
The move to FCF Neuvillette continues a club career that began in the Stade Laval academy system. Mupemba joined Stade Laval U19 from the club’s under-17 side in July 2020, before moving to Sable FC B three years later.
At Sable FC B, he continued his development before switching to Mans Villaret ahead of the 2024-25 season. His latest transfer represents his fourth change of club since entering senior-age football, with each of his moves recorded as a free transfer.
Mupemba’s most substantial recorded involvement came at under-19 level, where he played 1,629 minutes across 29 National U19 matches and scored one goal. He also accumulated 158 minutes in National 2, 19 minutes in the Coupe de France and 54 minutes in the Coupe Gambardella.
FCF Neuvillette have now added a defender with experience across youth, reserve and cup competitions in France. Mupemba’s role is listed as left-back, giving the club a player whose recorded appearances have come mainly in defence.
The transfer was completed by FCF Neuvillette on 20 August 2026.
