Napoli midfielder Scott McTominay has been cleared to resume competitive football after undergoing a procedure to treat a heart arrhythmia, the Serie A club said on Wednesday.
The 29-year-old Scotland international had a planned ablation at Manchester’s Spire Hospital in September after doctors diagnosed a mild, benign arrhythmia.
McTominay has since completed additional medical checks and has been approved to return to sporting activity. He has rejoined Napoli training and is available for selection by manager Massimiliano Allegri.
