PSG open to selling Ibrahim Mbaye amid Premier League interest

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly open to selling teenage winger Ibrahim Mbaye this summer, with the French champions valuing the highly rated prospect at between €40 million and €50 million.

According to L’Equipe, PSG would be prepared to consider offers that meet their valuation, despite the 18-year-old being regarded as one of the club’s brightest young talents.

Premier League clubs are already monitoring the situation, with Aston Villa and Manchester City among the teams credited with an interest in the French youth international.

Mbaye has enjoyed a rapid rise through the ranks at PSG after impressing head coach Luis Enrique during first-team pre-season preparations.

The winger announced himself by scoring PSG’s opening goal of the 2024/25 campaign in a pre-season friendly against Austrian side Sturm Graz before making his competitive debut just days later.

His start against Le Havre at the age of 16 years, six months and 23 days saw him become the youngest player ever to start a Ligue 1 match for PSG, surpassing the previous record held by Warren Zaïre-Emery.

Despite the growing interest from England, PSG have yet to receive an official offer for Mbaye. However, with several Premier League clubs closely tracking his progress, the situation could develop quickly if one of his admirers decides to match the French club’s asking price.

For now, PSG remain relaxed over the teenager’s future, but their reported willingness to listen to offers suggests Mbaye could become one of the most intriguing young players on the transfer market this summer.
