Serie A side Parma Calcio 1913 are close to completing the signing of Borussia Dortmund youngster Ousmane Diallo after the teenager travelled to Italy to finalise the move.
The 19-year-old winger is expected to sign a contract until 2030, bringing an end to his two-year spell with Borussia Dortmund as he looks to continue his development and secure regular senior football.
Reports from Italy indicate that Parma won the race for the Spain Under-19 international after beating competition from several clubs interested in the highly rated attacker.
Diallo will reunite with compatriot Carlos Cuesta, who currently leads Parma, after agreeing to make the switch from Germany.
Although his Dortmund contract was set to run until June 2027, the two clubs are now close to reaching a final agreement over the transfer.
Successful spell at Dortmund
Diallo joined Dortmund from the youth setup of Deportivo Alavés in 2023 and quickly progressed through the club’s Under-17, Under-19 and reserve teams.
During his time in Germany, the winger made 103 appearances, scoring 22 goals and registering 13 assists across youth competitions.
He also enjoyed team success, helping Dortmund win the Under-17 Bundesliga title in 2024 before lifting the Premier League International Cup earlier this year.
Spain star seeking senior breakthrough
Diallo further strengthened his reputation at international level during the UEFA European Under-19 Championship, where he helped Spain defeat Germany 2-0 in the final to claim the title.
The winger scored three goals during the tournament and was one of Spain’s standout performers.
His expected move to Parma follows Dortmund’s continued approach of allowing talented youngsters to leave in search of more first-team opportunities, with players such as Julien Duranville, Cole Campbell and Kjell Wätjen also departing recently.
Diallo now begins a new chapter in Italy, where he will aim to turn his impressive youth career into a breakthrough at senior level.
