Tunisia left-back Oussema Shili has joined Bahraini club Al-Khaldiya from Club Africain in a completed move that takes the two-time Tunisian champion out of Ligue 1 for the first time in his career.
The 29-year-old defender, who stands at 1.85m and plays primarily at left-back, leaves Tunis on the back of consecutive league titles, having won the Tunisian championship with Club Africain in 2025-26 after lifting the same crown with Esperance Tunis in 2023-24. Shili’s switch to Al-Khaldiya was finalised on 24 July, with the Tunisian’s market value currently listed at €650,000.
Shili joined Club Africain in August 2024 on a free transfer from Esperance and quickly became part of a side that climbed back to the top of domestic football. Before his move across the capital, he had arrived at Esperance from Stade Tunisien in 2023, a transfer that followed a consistent spell in the Tunisian top flight.
Over his time in Ligue 1, Shili made 93 league appearances, scoring six goals and providing 14 assists, as well as contributing in domestic cup competitions, where he added two goals in eight Tunisian Cup outings. He also gained experience in continental competition, including appearances in the African Football League.
Shili’s left-footed profile and experience at the top end of Tunisian football now bolster Al-Khaldiya’s defensive options, with the move marking the latest step in a career that has progressed through US Monastir, AS Djerba, Olympique Beja, Stade Tunisien, Esperance and Club Africain.
