Hamdi Chairet: Tunisian goalkeeper joins Olympique Beja from Stade Gabesien

Tunisian goalkeeper Hamdi Chairet has joined Olympique Beja from Stade Gabesien, signing a contract with the Ligue 1 side that runs until 30 June 2028. The 26-year-old moves within Tunisian football’s top structure as Beja continue to shape their squad ahead of the new campaign.

Chairet, born on 17 September 1999, arrives after his spell at Stade Gabesien, where he established himself as a senior goalkeeper. His switch to Olympique Beja is a permanent move, with the club opting to secure him on a long-term deal rather than a short-term solution.

Olympique Beja compete in Tunisia’s Ligue 1 and the addition of a goalkeeper in his mid‐twenties underlines the club’s intent to build stability in a key position. Chairet’s age profile gives Beja several prime years of service ahead within the duration of his contract.

For Chairet, the move represents a new chapter in his domestic career, remaining in his home country while stepping into a different environment at a Ligue 1 club. Primarily a goalkeeper by trade, he will now compete for a place in Beja’s starting line-up as preparations intensify for the coming seasons.

The deal was completed on 23 July 2026, with Chairet now officially registered as an Olympique Beja player until the summer of 2028.
