Nigerian international Victor Osimhen has indicated he is not considering a move away from Galatasaray, despite continued speculation linking him with several of Europe’s top sides.
The striker, who joined the Istanbul club in a €75m permanent deal last year, said he feels settled and values the environment he has found both on and off the pitch. His comments come amid reports suggesting interest from clubs including Arsenal, Barcelona and Real Madrid ahead of the summer transfer window.
Speaking to journalist Onah Kosisochukwu, Osimhen emphasised his sense of belonging in Turkey, describing the club as more than just a professional destination.
“God has put me on that path to prepare me for the greatness I’m in right now,” Osimhen said.
“It’s what shaped me into the kind of man I am today, and I’ve enjoyed so much in my career so far.”
The 27-year-old forward suggested that his current situation represents stability not only for himself but also for those closest to him.
“But I think I’ve found a home here where I am comfortable, as are my family and a few close friends,” he continued.
Osimhen went on to highlight the culture within the club, praising both the organisation and its supporters for their treatment of players and their families.
“This club—I’m trying to find the right word to justify it—is family. It’s love, unity, and utmost respect, not just for the player but for everyone associated with them.”
His remarks are likely to reassure Galatasaray supporters, who have embraced the Nigerian striker since his arrival. The club, often referred to as “the Rams,” has benefited from his performances, which have reinforced his reputation as one of Africa’s leading forwards.
While speculation over potential transfers remains a regular feature of the football calendar, Osimhen’s comments suggest that, for now, he is focused on continuing his journey in Istanbul rather than pursuing a move elsewhere.
Despite interest from some of Europe’s most prominent teams, his latest statements underline a clear message: he sees his immediate future firmly tied to Galatasaray.
