Orlando Pirates have confirmed that tickets are now on sale for their Betway Premiership title defence opener against newly promoted Milford FC, with the match to be played at Orlando Amstel Arena on Saturday, 1 August.
The defending champions begin their 2026/27 league campaign at home, welcoming the top-flight newcomers in a 15:00 kick-off as they start the defence of the crown they lifted last season.
The club has urged its supporters, known as the Ghost, to turn out in numbers for the first competitive fixture of the new term, aiming to create a packed and hostile atmosphere for the visitors in Soweto.
Digital-only tickets and pricing
Tickets for the fixture are being sold exclusively through Open Tickets and are priced at R100 each.
Orlando Pirates have also confirmed a shift to a fully digital ticketing system for the new season. Supporters will not be able to buy paper or physical tickets, with all access to the stadium to be managed electronically.
Fans who plan to attend regularly can secure 2026/27 season tickets, which cover all home league fixtures at Orlando Amstel Arena. For those seeking a premium offering, the club is also selling SuperSuite season tickets, aimed at providing an upgraded match-day experience.
Champions set for high-demand opener
After winning the Betway Premiership last season, Orlando Pirates are targeting another strong campaign and expect significant interest in their opening fixture as fans return to their home ground for the first time in the new league season.
The club believes anticipation around the champions’ first outing, combined with curiosity over league newcomers Milford FC, will contribute to high demand for seats. Supporters are being encouraged to buy early to avoid missing out on what the club says could be a memorable start to the 2026/27 campaign.
With preparations under way for the new season and excitement growing among the Ghost, Orlando Pirates are positioning the Milford FC clash as an opportunity for fans to show their backing from the very first whistle of their title defence.
