New York-born winger Boluwatife Olabige begins Croatian chapter with NK Dubrava ZG

United States-Nigeria winger Boluwatife Ayomide Olabige has joined Croatian club NK Dubrava ZG on a free transfer from NK Sesvete U19.

The 20-year-old left winger switches to Dubrava’s first-team setup after leaving Sesvete’s under-19 side. He joined his new club on 17 August 2026, with the move taking him into Croatia’s Prva NL.

Olabige was born in New York and holds United States and Nigerian nationality. Standing at 1.80m, he is listed primarily as a left winger and arrives at Dubrava with his main role defined on the flank.

His move represents a step from youth football into a senior club competing in Croatia’s second tier. NK Dubrava ZG are based in Zagreb, while Sesvete U19 provided the final stage of Olabige’s development before the switch.

The transfer also adds an international dimension to Dubrava’s squad. Olabige’s dual nationality links him to both the United States and Nigeria, while his background in New York precedes his move into the Croatian football system.

Olabige’s arrival comes without a transfer fee, completing his move from NK Sesvete U19 to NK Dubrava ZG. The available details do not include the length of his contract, but his new club has been established as his current destination.

The winger now begins his senior career at a club competing in the Prva NL, having made the move after his time with Sesvete’s under-19 team. For Dubrava, the signing brings in a player whose stated position is on the left side of attack and whose football career has so far included experience in Croatia’s youth structure.

Olabige completed his free transfer to NK Dubrava ZG on 17 August 2026.
