Maldini makes Cagliari history with fourth straight Serie A goal

Maldini marked his 25th birthday by scoring in Cagliari’s Serie A Round 6 meeting with Juventus, becoming the club’s first player in six years to find the net in four consecutive league matches.

The forward opened the scoring in the 20th minute, putting Cagliari ahead against Juventus.

Opta statistics show that the goal extended Maldini’s scoring run across four successive Serie A fixtures.

He is the first Cagliari player to achieve the feat since J. Pedro, who scored in four consecutive matches between October and November 2020.
