Nestory Irankunda, the Australia and Tanzania winger currently at Watford, is being linked with a summer move to La Liga side Celta de Vigo. The Spanish club are monitoring the 20-year-old right winger as they explore wide attacking options for the new season.
Irankunda is under contract at Watford until 30 June 2030, meaning any deal would require the Championship club to sanction a transfer rather than risk losing a long-term asset. He is currently valued at around €10 million, a figure that provides an initial benchmark for negotiations but is likely to be tested if Celta decide to formalise their interest.
The Kigoma-born forward has already built up significant first-team experience for his age. Before moving to England, he made 55 appearances in the A-League Men, scoring 16 goals and adding eight assists, form that first drew wider attention to his development. His time in Europe has also included regular minutes in the Championship, where he has played 40 times.
On the international stage, Irankunda featured for Australia at the 2026 World Cup, appearing in all four of their matches and scoring once, underlining his ability to operate at a high level in a short tournament setting.
Watford, who brought him in last summer, are not under pressure to sell given the length of his deal, and Celta are expected to weigh their next steps carefully as they assess the financial scope of any potential bid for the 20-year-old.
