Moussa Diaby, the French-Malian winger at Al-Ittihad, is being linked with a return to Bayer Leverkusen in a proposed move from the Saudi Pro League to the Bundesliga.
Diaby, 27, previously spent four seasons with Leverkusen before joining Aston Villa in July 2023. He moved to Al-Ittihad a year later for €60m and remains under contract with the Saudi club until 30 June 2029.
The rumour has been given a 72% probability, while Diaby’s current market value is listed at €25m. The available details do not indicate that an agreement has been reached between the clubs or with the player.
The left-footed right winger has made 55 Saudi Pro League appearances for Al-Ittihad, scoring nine goals and providing 23 assists. He was part of the squad that won the Saudi Arabian title and Saudi Cup in the 2024-25 season.
A return to Leverkusen would bring Diaby back to the club where he established himself in the Bundesliga. He made 125 league appearances for Leverkusen, scoring 31 goals and registering 37 assists, while also contributing 12 goals and eight assists in 28 Europa League matches.
Diaby began his senior career with Paris Saint-Germain and has also played in the Premier League, but his current deal means any move would require an agreement with Al-Ittihad rather than a free transfer.
