Mohamed Ali Ourimi seals ES Metlaoui switch as Tunisian winger steps up to top flight

Tunisian right winger Mohamed Ali Ourimi has joined ES Metlaoui from EM Mahdia, completing a move that takes the 24-year-old into the top tier of domestic football.

Ourimi has signed a contract with the Ligue 1 side running until 30 June 2028, tying him to the club for the next two seasons as they reshape their attacking options. He is primarily deployed on the right flank and favours his right foot, adding width and direct running to Metlaoui’s forward line.

The 1.82m wide player arrives from EM Mahdia, where he had moved in August 2025 after a spell with CS Msaken. His career has steadily climbed the Tunisian ladder, with previous experience at CA Bizertin and ES Zarzis before his latest step up.

Ourimi has already accumulated top-flight and cup experience in Tunisia, featuring in Ligue 1 and the Tunisian Cup, where he has registered assists in the league and scored in the domestic cup across his early senior outings. Those minutes include involvement in relegation and playout phases, providing exposure to high-pressure fixtures.

The winger’s earlier move to CS Msaken in 2023 came after his time at CA Bizertin, where his market value had risen to €50,000, underlining his growing reputation within the local game. His performances since then have earned him a return to the Ligue 1 stage with Metlaoui.

Ourimi’s transfer from EM Mahdia to ES Metlaoui is now complete, with his deal in place until the summer of 2028.
