Tunisia centre-back Oussama Hichri has joined ES Metlaoui from AS Soliman, completing a move that strengthens the Ligue 1 side’s defensive options ahead of the new campaign.
The 26-year-old has signed a contract with Metlaoui running until 30 June 2028, committing his long-term future to the club after five years with Soliman. The transfer keeps Hichri in the Tunisian top flight, where he has built a reputation as a dependable central defender.
Hichri arrives at Metlaoui with significant Ligue 1 experience, having made 56 appearances and surpassing 3,900 minutes of league action. He has also featured in domestic cup and relegation play-off fixtures, adding further top-level exposure to his profile.
The Tunisian began his senior career at AS Soliman in 2021, stepping up from Esperance Tunis’ U21 set-up. His move there marked his first taste of regular first-team football, and he has remained a consistent presence in the heart of defence since that breakthrough.
Hichri’s current market value is listed at €225,000, underlining his status as an established performer in the domestic game as he embarks on a new chapter with Metlaoui.
The deal was finalised on 29 July 2026, with the centre-back now under contract at ES Metlaoui until the end of the 2027-28 season.
