Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has given his assessment of Victor Gyokeres after the Sweden striker was named player of the match in the Gunners’ 2-1 Champions League victory over Slavia.
Gyokeres set up Noni Madueke to put Arsenal ahead in the ninth minute before scoring himself in the 38th minute.
The 28-year-old has rarely started Arsenal’s Premier League matches. Across all competitions this campaign, he has scored twice in 13 appearances and provided three assists.
