Memphis Depay, the Netherlands and Ghana-eligible forward currently at Brazilian side Corinthians, is being linked with a surprise switch to Turkish Super Lig club Corum FK. The 32-year-old centre-forward is approaching the final week of his contract with the Sao Paulo giants, which is due to expire on 31 July 2026, increasing speculation that he could be on the move this summer.
Corum FK are understood to be exploring a deal for Depay as they look to add proven experience in attack ahead of the new Super Lig campaign. Depay’s current market valuation stands at around €7m, but with his contract running down, any agreement is expected to hinge more on salary and bonuses than a significant transfer fee.
Depay joined Corinthians in September 2024 after leaving Atletico Madrid, and has since added Brazilian silverware to an already decorated career, including lifting the national cup in 2025 and the Supercopa do Brasil in 2026. This season he has struggled to secure a regular starting role in Serie A, featuring in under a third of Corinthians’ league line-ups and scoring once, which has fuelled suggestions that both player and club could be open to a parting of ways.
The former PSV Eindhoven, Manchester United, Lyon and Barcelona forward has previously thrived on major European stages, winning the Europa League with United and a Spanish title with Barca, and remains a high-profile name despite his reduced minutes in Brazil.
For now, Corinthians retain Depay’s registration until the end of July, and there has been no indication of a renewal, leaving his future open as Corum FK attempt to position themselves at the front of the queue.
